Amazing pictures

Whenever I surf the net, I do not miss to Google on sites about graphics and music. It has become a sort of habit.

I was with a company here in Kathmandu some 4 months back. During free time which was actually meant to be the research period, I used to serve my habit. In one of such times I was running my eyes over different links provided by Google. Luckily from among the links given, I happened to click one with some really nice wallpapers. They were so pleasant that I couldn’t take my eyes off the page for quite sometime.

Here I’d like to share 3 of those with you all…………what’s your take, aren’t they awe-inspiring????

A genuine start??…………well, I never (did)!

For the first time in past few months I woke up at 4 in the morning. At first, the whole feeling was unreal to me, “ah, it’s 4 am and I’m conscious”. I felt fresh like never before.

My amazement ended only when I realized it was because of my (or everyones) urge to store water, for god knows how many days (thanks to the untimely routine set by metro water supply department). This was my time to carry the trouble otherwise it was my friend on other occassions.

Having finished the task (a real chore for me), I was riffling through a paper called SOON handed to me the other day by a friend of mine. While in the course, suddenly, my poor blog occurred to me. I have a blog just for the name or as you can say for the sake of having one. Blogs, remain alive with user-generated contents (correct me here if sound off) and when users are not participating, it holds no importance. For me, mine was just there on the web, stale, craving for updates. In truest sense, it is proper misuse of the webspace (provided for free). And here I stand, a prefect example.

I’m happy though, I woke up early and got this inspiration. It’s never too late. I’m gonna give a meaning to my blog, rekindle it with my purest ideas and thoughts.

My mind needs a little brush up though.

Basic Installation and Configuration Guide, Planet ATA (VIP-157/157S), For Internet Telephony

  • ATA (what is?)

An analog telephone adaptor (ATA) is a device used to connect a standard telephone to a computer or network so that the user can make calls over the Internet. Internet-based long distance calls can be substantially cheaper than calls transmitted over the traditional telephone system, and ATAs are typically cheaper than specialized VoIP phones that connect directly to a computer's Universal Serial Bus (USB) port.

There are several types of analog telephone adapters. All ATAs create a physical connection between a phone and a computer or a network device; some perform analog-to-digital conversion and connect directly to a VoIP server, while others use software for either or both of these tasks.

1.Getting Started

There are different scenarios in which ATA can be placed in between your PC and internet connection devices (routers, modems).

  • First of all make sure which device you are using for internet connection like router, modem.
  • If you are using a modem, the installation or connection should be like below:-

A network switch should be placed between ATA, pc and modem like illustrated in the above diagram. The physical connection media should be straight through UTP network cables with RJ-45 connectors. Detailed descriptions about ATA ports and peripherals connections will be dealt later in the guide.
